I Have Been A Fashion Model For 19 Years With Two Ostomy Bags

I am Jearlean Taylor from Baltimore. I enjoy traveling, relaxation, spending time with my family and friends.

I was diagnosed with childhood cancer (Rhabdomysarcoma) at 3 years old. I was cancer-free a year after my diagnosis, but left with permanent ostomy (colostomy and urostomy), which aids my bladder and bowel functions, which cause me to wear (2) ostomy bags for rest of my life. Through my journey, faith in God, support from family & friends I am bless to have my desires, passions, and dreams come true. I have been a fashion model for over 19 years, yes with two ostomy bags. To see the outer appearance no one could ever tell I live with these adversities.

You don’t have to be your circumstances. I am considered one of top fashion models in my state. I am encouraging cancer survivors and ostomy patients, mentoring youth groups, speak to women’s health organizations, and empowering those suffering with low self-esteem. I do not look like what I deal with 24 hours/7 days a week. I’m not suppose to!

We are not our circumstances!
